Mike and me soldiered on with the building of the foundations, once we had the perimeter done I started back filling in with around Quarry scalpings, around 110 tons!!

Family friend Colin, picks up a load of sand to bind in our backfill.

Once the Backfilling was complete, we then prepared for the concrete slab to be laid, and over a couple of days where we got some really fine weather we poured around 25m3 of concrete!

The Concrete slab in upper half of the house Mike screeds out the lower half

mike screeds the concrete pour for the first slab

Once the Slab had a chance to dry out it there was no stopping us, the Kit arrived and was erected by a squad from Sips Industries. I was away on tour at the time and missed most of the action but we managed to get some pics.

The Kit goes up and was completed within 7 days

The Story continues....

We are currently working inside battening out ready for first fix. Most of the windows and doors have been fitted and the roof has been battened out, sarking fitted and a second membrane been fitted ready for slates. Plumber starting soon, Electrician at planning stage.

My mate spooner gets to grip with the sarking Joe and spooner making on they are working flat out!

Secret is, get all your mates to help out... especially
